A man in history: Omar al-Mukhtar

Assyahid Omar al-Mukhtar(1860-1931)

Assyahid Omar al-Mukhtar was the leader of the resistance movement against the Italian military occupation of Libya for more than twenty years. He has been recognized as a great strategist, and sucessfully led his people in attacks against Italian troops

Omar Mukhtar was wounded and captured by Italian army on 11 Sept 1931.

He was shackled with heavy chains from his waist and wrists because of the army’s fear that he just might escape.

When asked if he wished to say any last words, he replied with the Quran clause: "From Allah we have come, and to Allah we will return."

On 16 september 1931, Omar Mukhtar was hung in front of his followers in the concentration camp in Solluqon

Lion of the Desert

"Cerita yang membawa kita kembara menghayati pahit getir pejuangan jihad Omar Mukhtar"

Pernah tengok filem ni tak? Aku tengok kali pertama semasa di SMSD. Arwah Ust. Him yang bawa kelas kami tengok cerita ni. Aku pernah jugak cari2 lagi VCD/DVD citer ni kat Malaysia, tapi tak jumpa dah. Nasib aku baik, aku jumpa DVD citer ni lagi kat Libya ni. 2-3 hari lepas, aku tengok lagi.

3 Pantun "Deli"

Ke Daik membeli lada,
Batu Pahat Kuala Deli,
Buat baik berpada-pada,
Buat jahat jangan sekali.

Jika belayar ke tanah Aceh,
Singgah dulu di Kota Deli,
Jika hendak orang mengasih,
Hendaklah baik bicara budi.

Anak Cina bertimbang madat,
Dari Makasar langsung ke Deli,
Hidup di dunia kita beradat,
Bahasa tidak berjual beli.

***Note: Deli - A previous sultanate at North Sumatra

Gambar2 kat Helang, Nippon Oil

Aku pernah keje kat Nippon Oil Exploration, Malaysia (Noex), sebagai process engineer. Tapi kejap je, dalam 2 bulan lebih je. Lepas tu dapat offer lain dan terus decide nak blah. Actually working with Noex is not bad at all. Helang Platform is the most luxurious platform in Malaysia. Anyway, aku keje kat office je sebenarnya, cuma kadang-kadang pergi platform utk amik data, follow up project dll. Ni bawah gambar2 masa kat platform Helang.
